Ayelet Harel replaces Avri Reil as administration director of Yozmot HaEmek. Ayelet comes to us after several years in a similar position in another incubator. We wish for Ayelet much succcess in her new-old task and to Avri, who has retired, good health and satisfaction in his new "status".

COMFLOW BEGINS WORK IN THE INCUBATOR
A new project was chosen by the steering committee of the Chief Scientist. The project ComFlow (Communication Flow) was selected and is directed by David Barkan. The project develops solution technoogy for all types of H2H (Human to Human Communication) and makes possible communication between both land and mobile phones as well as VoIP, e-mail and SMS. The project is scheduled to begin operations in the incubator in December 2008. We welcome the project and wish them well.

DROR KATZ TO DIRECT THE ULTRASURGE PROJECT
Doron Katz, who holds an MBA degree from the Technion IIT and who has amassed much experience in directing projects and in high-tech companies has been selected to direct UltraSurge Technologies, Ltd. The project has applied for a third year in the incubator on the basis of a new phase in the development (computerized development of for slicing tissue using precise jets of water and also sealing of blood vessels.) The application was accepted by the Chief Scientist on November 6, 2008.

YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS WIN FIRST PRIZE IN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
The group of young entrepreneurs who learn in the framework of the Yozmot HaEmek Technological Incubator under the tutelege of Dr. Amnon Weichselbaum, presented an innovative idea for a table made of light panels for writing in conditions of darkness. They won first place in the competition this year. This is the second time in three years that they have won first place.

BAR ILAN REPLACES BEN RUBI AS CEO OF VIBRANT
Beginning in the month of June, 2008, Yaron Bar Ilan, B.Sc. and with advanced studies in industrial engineering and management at the Technion IIT, was appointed CEO of Vibrant (revolutionary treatment of constipation). Yaron replaces Yaniv Ben Rubi. The project is entering the second year of activity in the incubator and we wish Yaron all success in his new position.

RINA PRIDOR VISITS THE INCUBATIOR

Rina Pridor, director of the Incubator Authority of the Office of the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, visited the Yozmot HaEmek incubator. Accompanying her was Itai Beck, assistant director of the incubator authority. During the visit, that included visits to projects currently active in the incubator, a comprehensive report of the activities of the incubator during the past year was presented, and there was further deliberation with the participation of Advocate Alex Samuel, director of the non-profit organization of the incubator, and Gidon Hermelin, Chairman of the Board of Directors and other members of the board.

EIGHT PROJECTS SUBMITTED TO STUDENTS AT ROSS SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
Eight pojects, six of them currently in house and two projects that have completed the two-year incubator program have been submitted to the MBA students of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, USA for decisions concerning the preparation of strategic surveys for market entry roadmaps for projects. In the near future the students will decide between ours and hundreds of projects of worldwide conglomerates that have submitted projects together with ours.The results will be announced during January 2008. Our projects, if chosen, will participate in a 3-day meeting with the students for exchange of information. The surveys that will be prepared will include an intensive market study, recommendations for a business model and many other recommendtions that will be neceary for for preparation of a business plan for the project. This cooperative project is going into its 13th year and in the past the majority of the projects that have been submitted by our incubator have been selected by the students.

Uri Kiri chosen as CEO of Orbital Robotics
Uri Kiri, M.Sc. in materials engineering, has been selected to head up the Orbital Robotics project (portable, robotic device for marking, cutting and welding pipes) beginning in the month of April, 2008. Uri replaces Avi Gleichman. We wish him much success in his new position.

STREAM CONTROL SIGNS FIRST CONTRACT
The first contract for the product in the field of infrastructure of water pipes was received in the last few weeks by "Stream Control" a graduate project of our incubator. The product will engender leakage control by pressure management in municipal water systems. The first company to utilize the product is the "Gahon" network that will utilize the product in the old city of Jersualem. Additionally, the company has successfully raised $250,000 from the Shari Arison fund.

FOUR TEAMS OF STUDENTS TO W RITE STRATEGIES FOR INCUBATOR PROJECTS

Four teams of Ross School of Business MBA students at the University of Michigan met with their incubator project counterparts in order to exchange information and to prepare roadmaps for market entry for the projects. The meetings took place in Amsterdam, and the final documents will be delivered at the end of April.

STUDENTS FROM THE JEZREEL vALLEY INCUBATOR PRESENT THEIR FINDINGS
Two teams of third-year outstanding students from the Department of Economics and Managment of the Jezre'el Valley Academic College presented the work completed for two of the incubator projects. To The Escom Company Ltd.,composite materials for lightweight and strong applications, they did a financial analysis and for the Agrosif Company an Israeli market survey was performed. Also, four of our incubator projects were presented to second year students, three in the field of life sciences and medical devices, and one in the field of mechanics and infrastructure. They will submit Israeli market surveys for the four projects during the upcoming academic year.
